Echinocactus grusonii is one of the best known species of cacti. It is part of the genus Echinocactus. It is native to the states of San Luis Potosí and Hidalgo, central Mexico. She is sometimes called "mother-in-law" or "mother-in-law" because of her strong thorns. In English, she is nicknamed Golden Barrel Cactus. Although easily cultivated, it is threatened in its natural environment. Almost spherical in shape, it reaches 60 cm in diameter, even a meter after many years. Subjects can present up to 35 sides on adult subjects. The spines are strong, long, straight or slightly curved, in yellow or sometimes white hues. But there are also varieties without thorns. Young subjects have a button appearance. Small yellow flowers appear at the top of the plant, but only on subjects over 20 years old.
